About Cathy Matthews

Cathy Matthews is well-known in the community and has deep roots in Delaware, where she was born. Cathy graduated from Dickinson High School and furthered her education at the University of Delaware. Cathy met her husband, Jim, while living in Maryland, and moved back to Delaware in 2019. Together, Cathy and Jim have five children living across California, Delaware, New York, and Virginia.

Her professional background spans HR, education, and hospitality, giving her strong communication skills. Cathy has accumulated 15 years in property management, 12 years as a part time real estate agent and spent two decades at the University of Delaware as assistant director for conferences and events. Following her retirement from the university, she transitioned into full-time real estate to gain greater flexibility for her family while continuing to serve her beloved community.

Cathy takes a hands-on approach to every part of the property marketing and sales process, placing high value on hard work and client privacy. Drawing on her extensive experience in Delaware and Cecil County, Maryland, she uses her knowledge to help clients find homes and neighborhoods that fit their needs. Known for her warmth and professionalism, Cathy’s friendly personality and deep community roots make her a trusted guide for both newcomers and long-term residents.
