I'd lived in a townhouse 40 years; the only home I've ever bought/sold. It was in dire need of a facelift after all that time. It is a seller's market (2021) if a property is reasonably priced. When Ray told me he thought he could have closing easily by the end of the year, I thought this could be interesting as I expected it to take a month or two before it would go under contract for sale. It was on the market for two weeks before going under contract and I ended up with slightly more income than I expected after deducting all expenses. Closing was four weeks after listing. Ray turned a sow's ear into a silk purse for sale!

I grew up in Newark, DE, and moved away 50 years ago leaving behind my parents and brother. It was now time to sell that home and have my brother relocate to Florida with me. I contacted a girlfriend who recommended Ray Dudkewitz of Patterson-Schwartz as a good realtor. Not only is he a good realtor, he is a GREAT realtor!! With one phone call he stopped to see my brother whose house had just gone into foreclosure. Ray took him to the bank to draw out the funds he had on hand but had forgotten he had and took him and the check to the attorney and pulled the house out of foreclosure. The night I arrived in Newark he came to help us set up an antenna in order to have TV reception. He took on the task of getting someone to clean out the house after we collected what we wanted to take with us. He listed the house the day we left for FL and the next day got a full-price offer with a second offer to follow. He negotiated a bidding war and my brother received a very large sum over asking price. The property was in poor condition but location, location, location made it valuable. The sale closed today and we are so grateful for Ray and his help. He is the BEST!
